Lift Ticket Discounts

Here are all the discount lift tickets I know about for Utah ski resorts, including Park City Mountain Resort, Deer Valley, The Canyons, Snowbird, Alta, Brighton and Solitude.

Early season Utah resort lift ticket discounts:
  1. Every Wednesday in December Brighton Resort offers $20 lift tickets with a donation - either to the Utah Food Bank, Road Home Shelter, Toys for Tots (check their web site for details.)
  2. Snowbird sells 2-pack lift tickets for half price at BYU's ticket office starting mid-October until sold out. Good for one person, non-transferrable, black-out dates Dec. 26-Jan. 2 and Feb. 18 - Feb. 21.
  3. Sinclair gas stations give out 2-for-1 Snowbird discount coupons in November/December. Buy 4 tanks of gas and get a 2-for-1 lift ticket coupon.
Where to buy discounted Utah ski resort lift tickets during the season:
  1.  The Costco in Salt Lake City at 300 West 2100 South carries discounted lift tickets in the winter.
  2. Liftopia.com has discount lift tickets for many Utah resorts.
  3. Several ski shops in Salt Lake City sell discount ski lift tickets, including Ski-N-See (several locations), REI , the Sports Den at Foothill and Canyon Sports (details and prices here).
  4. Backcountry.com sells discounted lift tickets to Utah ski resorts - and proceeds benefit our wildly popular Utah Avalanche Center.
Ongoing lift ticket deals for Utah ski resorts:
  1. Kids under 10 ski free at Brighton Resort with a paying adult.
  2. Good for the month of January only, Deer Valley sells discount tickets at local retail shops (see #3 above) for only $74.
  3. Bring your same-day boarding pass to any of Park City's three resorts (The Canyons, Deer Valley and Park City Mountain Resort) and receive a FREE lift ticket for that day. Offered through the Park City Quick START Vacation - you'll need to bring a redemption voucher along with your boarding pass and out-of-state photo ID. Some black-out dates. Details here.
  4. This is my favorite: Monday - Thursday from 3pm - 4:30pm EVERYBODY skis free on Alta's Sunnyside lift! I met one man who has been taking advantage of this free deal for years and averages 9 runs a day.
  5. If you have a toddler or first-time skier, Deer Valley has a fenced-in area with a "magic carpet" (like a moving sidewalk). And it's totally FREE 7 days a week. The video below gives you an idea of what it's like.
